Her career took an unexpected turn when she stepped up to the challenge as Director of Admissions and Development at a struggling educational institution facing potential closure. Despite having no formal background in nonprofit development, Sara leveraged her extensive sales expertise and relationship-building instincts to spearhead a remarkable transformation. 

This success earned national recognition, leading to speaking engagements at industry conferences and contributions to professional publications. Sara's approach resonated so strongly that she was recruited to coach other organizations facing similar challenges, allowing her to refine a development methodology that works across both nonprofit and commercial sectors.

Known for her infectious enthusiasm and ability to see opportunities where others see obstacles, Sara excels at guiding organizations through their most challenging transitions.  Arthur brings a distinguished background in leadership and human connection to SM Coaching Solutions. With a Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College Joint Doctoral Program, his academic expertise is complemented by decades of practical experience guiding organizations through complex transitions and communication challenges.

Throughout his career, Arthur has mastered the art of creating personalized environments where authentic dialogue flourishes. As a former school principal recognized by a New England educational consortium as a "Rhode Island Champion of Education," he demonstrated an exceptional ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders while implementing innovative initiatives that transformed 

organizational culture and community engagement.

His background in counseling and psychology provides a unique foundation for his consulting approach. Arthur excels in situations where emotional intelligence matters most—navigating difficult conversations, mediating conflicting viewpoints, and creating spaces where people feel genuinely heard and valued. 

As Director of Constituent Services for a former member of U.S. Congress, Arthur was instrumental in understanding 

client needs and reimagining results.

For the past seven years, Arthur worked alongside Sara Marshall to revitalize an educational institution facing significant challenges. Together, they developed a collaborative and unique approach to community engagement that balanced strategic vision with authentic relationship-building.
